The Hallingdal Track
The Hallingdal Track is an epic adventure in Norway Cross-Country Skiing the stunning landscape with a well organized company. One unique experience was visiting Langedrag Wildlife Preserve where we saw reindeer, moose, lynx, wolves and many other native animals. It is too difficult to condense the week into a few words but the trek was enchanting due to the beauty of the area, the physical challenge in the skis each day, and the knowledgeable fun-loving guide.

The Trolls Trail
My second trip with Tracks and Trails and I could never choose which one had prettier views. Ok, maybe it was the Trolls trip, but both had phenomenal views. But I will give the Peer Gynt an ever so slight edge on accommodations so they come out even. Guides are great and become helpful instructors at just the right moment.

The Hallingdal Track
Of all the tours I have done, the Hallingdal is the one I would most like to do again. Such wonderfully varied skiing and landscapes, and interesting overnight stops. So don't be too surprised if I approach you about a booking come the autumn!

Nordic in Norway: Venabu
I thoroughly enjoyed the trip. I do like smaller local hotels with character. For me a perfect hotel. My good intentions went out the window as soon as I saw the food. Loved it, especially the fish, oh yes and deserts! Adored the Venabu area and took to waxed metal edged skis really well.

Sonthofen was an excellent base – small and simple family hotel with very good food and helpful owner.  The opportunities in the local area are huge and routes could be adapted for any level of snowshoeing.  The mountain scenery was wonderful, helped by copious quantities of snow – one of the very best centres for a snowshoe week.

Snowshoe Tour of Bulgaria
Was very surprised by the landscape and also that the hotels were better than I expected. It really was a very interesting trip in terms of the culture and also being able to learn so much about Bulgaria from Stoyan our local guide. Highly recommend it.

Nordic in Norway: Venabu
A wonderful week of enjoying the winter landscape of Venabu on cross country skis. The hotel provided a relaxed and homely base. The food was fabulous.

Traverse of the Chablais
Very enjoyable trip with knowledgable, and fun guide. Lovely views throughout, relaxing breaks in the sun by mountain pasture huts, good accommodation in nice towns and villages. Try the Abondance cheese!

The Hallingdal Track
The wonderful, different places we stayed made this so much more than a long distance ski trip. Tracks and Trails had built relationships with the people and we were warmly welcomed and so well looked after. Skiing into Langedrag Naturepark and staying the night there was my favourite moment.

The Hallingdal Track
Thank you so so much...for having the courage...to take me!  For believing I could do it.  For making me believe I could do it.  For the superb organisation...for all the work you put into setting up this amazing trip.  For the wonderful accommodation, the fabulous guiding and, most especially, the brilliant company.

Working together is the way to create amazing adventures. At Tracks and Trails it is all about teamwork, and has been since 2006 when Lindsay Cannon and Julia Tregaskis-Allen were living and working in a village in the Swiss Alps. They decided joining forces was the way forward and in that spirit of co-operation Tracks and Trails was created. Today this ethos extends to the way we work with our guests, you talk we listen, with the aim of providing the very best mountain adventure. To achieve this we work with a team of excellent guides and instructors who share our values and love of the outdoors.
